Default F**k!!! E-Brake is rubbing the inside of the rotors!!!

After working on my car for days, finally looking forward to taking it for a spin, I discover my E-brake is rubbing the inside of the brake rotors!!! Even after putting on the E-brake and letting it off, it will rub. Even after turning the adjusting nuts all the way down, it will still rub! What the hell am I supposed to do? I tried shifting the shoes around and that did nothing, if anything made it worse. The clip holding it to the backing plate is tight. The parking break is fully disengaging, no sticking. I have no idea what happened for it to do this, maybe I bumped something. I think the shoes are supposed to aling them selves but mine don't. They seem to be a little loose too but there is no way to tighten them.

Anyone?!?!

Behind the E-brake pad is a little slot for the pad to slip into. Make sure the pad is iside the slot and I think this will solve your problem.

I had that problem on mine. I have powerslot rotors. I bought a new set of e-brake pads and the left rear one rubbed bad. I grinded down about 1/3 of the shoe. Works like a charm now. I just made sure i wore a mask while i did the grinding. I dont know if it is dangerous to breath in the brake dust.
