FS: LS1 Block
Selling an LS1 block from a 2002 Camaro Z28 w/87k miles. It will include almost everything for a Long Block except the crank, cam, and lifters. I took the bare block to get hot vat cleaned, honed, and new cam bearings installed (paid $260). A stock used crank runs about $80-$120.
Bare Block - Fresh Hone, Vat Cleaned, New Cam Bearings, All Main Caps
Stock Pistons and Rods - New Federal Mogul Stock Piston Rings, New Clevite Rod Bearings
Your Choice of 241 (stock '02 LS1) or 862 (stock 5.3L) heads with low mileage Yellow LS6 valve springs installed on either set
New GM MLS Head Gasket Set
Front, Rear, and Top Engine Covers
Flexplate
Cam Sprocket
Cam Retainer
Timing Chain
SOLD!

Who did the machine work on the block? Were the measurements ideal for a stocksize piston or would you need to go larger?
Reason I am inquiring about is that I have my LS1 out of my FRC now and it is stripped down. I was planning on getting it cleaned and honed and using a new stock piston set with my old rods, new cam and main bearings etc. I have about 100k on my block. It may save me some time to pick up your block.
Thanks
