Six Speed to automatic

thinking about swapping my six speed in my 01 ss with an automatic. what all would i need and where could i find the parts.

check in the automatic transmission section, for sale section would be a good place to start looking. alot of guys want to get rid of their auto for a 6 speed

Most of what you would need:

4L60E Tranny
4L60E Crossmember
Flexplate&Bolts
Torque Converter
Shifter and Cable
A4 Pedal Assembly
A4 Console Top
A4 portion of harness to pin into PCM
PCM Flashed to A4

I would try to buy most of your parts on here, lots of guys have stuff. For instance I still have two A4 shift cables laying around. haha.

Im probably missing a few items. I have gone from A4 to M6 and from M6 to A4 so feel free to PM me with any Qs you may have, I might be able to help.

I will trade you everything you will need strait up if your trans is in perfect running order..I mean trans,cross member,wiring harness,PCM,dipstick,EVERYTHING!!!

LMR did my swap M6 to A4. I suggest you get a 99+ A4 harness or find some to do a trade with you. I peiced mine together and it would had been easier just to trade someone and spilt the installed price.

he said it would be around 600 so split that shouldnt be bad. that was just to take mine out and install a brand new one but i havent bought it yet so if you want to trade tranny's it might cost 200 more for install but thats what the coupons are for!

are you still interested. stock 4l60e with yank ss4000 stall. still have stock to if thats what your looking for. only had the stall in less than 40 miles.
