1997 Chevrolet GM 1 TON Dually. Ready to work and ready to pull your loads. Tow package including hidden Gooseneck hitch, tow ball, and electric brake attachment for your trailer brakes.

Manual Transmission 5 Speed.
145,000 miles on chassis, motor freshly rebuilt. 5.7 litre.

did you put this 5.3L and allison trans in yourself? just curious. factory options were 5.7L or a 7.4L or the 6.5L diesel. trans would either be 4l80e auto or the New Venture 4500 5spd.

OOPS. Now I feel like an idiot.

The installed engine and transmission is factory.

I thought it was the Allison w/ a 5.3. Apparently I'm wrong on that.

Transmission should be the iron case Nv4500 which is a very stout trans that came in these trucks as well as the Cummins diesels.

Trans is pretty tough. We've used the truck to pull tractors and palm trees down to south Texas and we've never had issues with it.
