Default No more Camaro for me...

Well last Thursday I was in Tyler taking care of some business and little did I know that it would be the end of my car. I was turning left at an intersection and another car came flying from the other side of the intersection and decided to turn as I was(I was clearly turning and had my turn signal on). Needless to say they slammed into the side of my car. I of course had insurance(liablility only), but that other POS driver had none/nothing/nada!!! Well my insurance totalled my car out, but because of just having liability I dont get ****.......so now here I am without a car and no money to outright buy another one. It sucks!! Dont really know what I want to find to replace it, but I dont think it will be another LT1 car....maybe an LSx car....or dumdumdum...a Mustang!! lol

The car is trashed, front half of the car is almost gone, took the hit on the passenger side front corner. I doubt anything would be salvageable. I dont have anywhere to put it, so I had to have it just towed off.

Don't just give it away.

I'll drive to Tyler and pick it up for at least the tow and storage fees. Even if the body is trashed, the drive train has to be salvageable.

Shoot me a number and let's talk

you have to have full coverage now, way to many morons without insurance on the road and 99% of them are horrible drivers.

If you can not afford full coverage, at least get the uninsured motorist. I think I pay $10.00 more a month for it but it is worth if someone like this hits you...

Sucks, hopefully you can made good of this situation.

Where has 'responsibility' gone? Aren't offending drivers copable for SOMETHING?

As far as Im concerned not having insurance should be a felony punishable with HEAVY fines and jailtime. Something needs to be done with this crap. My uncle who is a cop recently had a wreck and the guy begged and begged not to call the cops bc he didnt have insurance. Needless to say they were already on the scene and he got 4 tickets. Guy has still failed to pay for the $800 in damage he did.

To me its not worth having full coverage on all vehicles, for instance my 97 ford F-250. It is not worth it to pay for the additional coverage, if I wreck it I can buy another one cheaper than what I would pay in insurance for 2 years. Now the Corvette and Mustang does have full coverage because of the amount of money it would cost me to replace these cars.

At a minium have the uninsured motorist.

I've been wondering this for some time now. Unfortunately, as far as I'm concerned, society (in general) is going downhill FAST.

I totally agree with this. Insurance is like a gamble. I only keep full coverage on my Camaro and just have liability on my daily driver.

Well sorry to hear your loss. I lost my 99 TA back in march and the other driver had no license or insurance either. And guess what....my insurance totaled my car, paid her 5k for her truck and are currently negotiating settlement for "bodily injury"..she is demanding 8k and they offered her 4k and she wasnt even injured.........
And this is after i was found not at fault for the accident.

you should be able to take them to claims court... if you have the police report showing they were at fault it should be an easy case that way their word against yours won't play much of a role... happens on judge judy and all those other shows all the time lol... it may be a somewhat slow process but atleast you will get something back and not be at a total loss... by that time you might have another car and when this money comes rolling in you will be able to mod the hell out of it haha

I would check to make sure your coverage is for "replacement" and not just "fair market value".
