My Texas Mile Pics (56k NO WAY!!!)

Early in the day he blew the driveshaft doing a burnout. So he swapped driveshafts with the black Supra you see in the pics (not SW's) and by the time he had the car ready to go he only got two passes off.
Gotta give him props, it was hot as hell out there, and working on my back like he did would of been the last thing I wanted to do. That's dedication!

Blue tape worked well, I don't like clear bras....
The purpose was to seal the hood seams/front bumper seams, as well as protect. Clear bra can't do that.
took 3 hrs to put on but only 20 min to take off... now I need a fresh coat of wax

Got Tape?!
Lol almost can't identify some of the cars. Is it a must have to put 20lbs of freakin tape everywhere? I thought they invented clear bras somewhere? hmmmm lol Might be a tad bit better investment then all that unneccessary ugly blue tape... Either way traveling @ high speeds on any type of road there has got to be some kind of debris that might put a knick here or there. Just my .02

ohhh BTW some sick cars i'm sorry I missed out!

"Samsonite, I was way off!"
I'm cursed with looking like a 18 year old version of Lloyd for the rest of my life. Note to self, don't land on a guardrail in a hardtop SS after rolling at 80 mph
We'll have to bring 2 easy ups for march. The 10' x 10' wasn't cutting it.
edit:
That evo2 that went 223.6:

Stock in Gel? I'd go for stock in 3m first. But after hearing about some of the debri... I can't blame them.
I think if i make it out there, I won't tape off any seems... I want to run like I would on the street.... no trickery I do the same at the 1/4mi track though. None of this emptying spare tire, pulling tail-gate, pulling subs/amps, etc
Then again, I'm not trying for records of any type.

The Turbo Mach had three runs
1st run 150mph on 10psi
2nd run 175mph on 15psi
3rd run 20psi the motor lost compression

I didn't make 200, it was my first time, but on the first run I hit 189 a good bit before the 3/4 mile marker, my shift light was off and it came on at 6400 rpm so I lifted and coasted... was surprised I reached that so fast.
My second run I coasted till the 1/4 mile, then laid into it, hit what I thought was the limiter in 5th, somewhere right past the 3/4 marker, then let the car coast down a bit and when I got back on the throttle, but car fell on its face. The scans showed it richened up a lot when I got back into the throttle and just got lazy and didn't pick up speed again. But all in all car performed good, really needs 3.08s in the rear and/or taller tires to give it some more room. I was only on 15 psi so happy with what I was able to do for my first time

Blaine didn't make it out,but Pat's car did. From what I understand they worked night on in to get the cars done and just ran out of time on Blaines car.Pat's Shelby clocked right under 200mph.194 I believe
