TH400 Blew, TH400 Built

Blew my stock TH400 after the TexasTruckScene meet on the 18th. Thanks to JakeShoe, I had another TH400 back in the truck in just one day. This one is built tho and so far so good.
Cant wait to test it at the track, anyone going this weekend?

Yea it has been for like 3 weeks already took it out sunday and blew the tranny line off it, quick fix just need to work on the tuning

I bought the stock TH400 tranny used on craigslist a while back. I was suprised it lasted this long. I think I paid about $200 for it with a stall.

I went thru the stock 4L60e as soon as I installed the LS1.

I paid $900, tranny has stock ratios, GM 3.73 gear on rearend

oh man, arent your rpms high as hell on the highway? i was considering a TH400 for my car with the **** 60e blew. but i DD my car..

i do like 70mph at 3k RPM, I daily drive my truck as well

I measure Gallons Per Mile.

MPG is for soccer moms.

so if i went with 2.73 gears i would be a lot lower rpm?

3.23's would probably OK with that trans
