I have spoken to Craig before about Autox and MSR specifically. He is a good guy.

I prefer doing AutoX over road course (MSR) for a couple of reasons: my A6 in my G8 and my A4 in my GTO and C10 (yes I have a lot of auto transmission rides...dont judge me!) wont survive a lot of laps of up and down shifting, second: tire wear and car wear (normally less car wear at autoX than at the drag strip) is minimal at an autox event, third: autox is much, much cheaper to sign up for. flat parking lot and bunch of cones! Fourth: you can have fun autox-ing in pretty much any car...set up isnt as critical, though a straigh drag car may not want to compete. Street cars, mild race set ups, etc: BRING EM!

Most autox clubs (scca for example) start up in late Feb or early March I believe.
