Default 2002 auto vs 2010 auto questions???

my buddy has an 02 ss a4 stock all we did was nitto drag radials, 4.10 gears, 4000 stall converter and cat-back exhaust and got a 7.31 in the 1/8th..... then with a 100hp dry shot he got a 6.88 in the 1/8..... my question is the 4l60e gear ratios are 1st=3.06 2nd=1.75 3rd=1.00 4th=.70 and the gl80 which will be the 6 speed auto in the 2010 ss its ratios are 1st=4.03 2nd=2.36 3rd=1.53 4th=1.15 5th=.85 6th=.67 my question the first gear is way taller by 1.0 on the 6 speed auto so with 4.10 in the rear that thing should take off like a rocket right??? espically with a stall and a small shot of nitrous right? i mean that thing would be geared like a dump truck,..... could we see a gear and stall only car get in the 6's in the 1/8th??? what are yalls thoughts???

Well the reason being that way I would think is because the 2010 model comes with 2 extra gears to use. So of course its going to be a shorter gear compared to the 4 speed. But yea 4.10 and a stall will = no traction

So are you putting a 6L80 in a 02 SS??? Because I'm pretty sure they don't have a controller out yet to controll it. And I'm pretty sure the new camaro's arn't coming with 4.10's with autos. So basicly I have no idea what you are asking....

yes a yank 4000 stall converter, slp loudmouth exhaust, 4.10's, and ran 7.3's all day of course on nitto drag radials, its awesome cuz its quiet with exhaust manifolds but takes off like a rocket, i forget the 60ft time but it was really good... we hustled alot of heads cam cars at the track but at 70mph and the freeway we would cruise at 4200 rpms

no im talking about the 2002 a4 auto vs the 2010 a6 auto, im comparing the two, i was asking if 4.10's in the 2010 camaro would be insane as far as take off speed for a stock car with just a gear change and a stall cuz 1st on the 4l60e is a 3.06 ratio and 1st on the gl80 is a 4.03 ratio and comparing the times my buddy pulled off with his almost stock 4l60e car i would assume with the same mods just a stall and gear change that a otherwise stock 2010 camaro ss auto could get into the 6's in the 1/8, and i was wanting yalls input on that comparison
