seeing as this is still two weeks away. figured i would see who plans on attending or entering their vehicle in this show? i registered mine this year. and pending approval i hopefully can show mine this year! however to any past participants. what was required in order to show as far as a display is concerned? was it mandatory to have a display or just optional? let me know.

I would only consider entering again if we had at least 6-8 cars in the same "club" display. I did it one year with Tiffany (Zangel) and it was awful. People keep kicking/grabbing those rope stanchions and pushing them into your car, even caught one teen sitting IN my car while I was away from it. With a group of cars, at least someone can always be on duty to watch the rest of the cars in the display.
People are very inconsiderate as spectators there, not everyone is as **** about their cars like the car show participants. I would guess that 75% of the spectators are not car people, they could care less about keeping their hands or kids off your car.
Avoid using tall stanchions if possible. The lower 1 foot tall ones work better. People won't grab them as they walk by, knocking them into your car. It is like a habit, people and kids cannot walk by a chain or rope without tugging it as they walk past.

We will have TJ's GTO there again. Last year we won best in class and most outstanding engine!
Tony perfect time to do that Gm High Tech photo shoot for the GTO.

I've heard and seen the same things Tony mentioned.
If you make/buy rails/ropes/stands to go around the car... make them paint friendly... I've once seen a beautiful billet bow-tie on top of a pole knocked into the car by a kid... scratch and dent
Make sure they are STURDY... you'll see some that the car is parked on top of, and the pole extends outward... that seems like the best idea to me.

what day and time is the swap meet?
I'd be down to put my car in since it'll be back from the body shop tomorrow or wednesday, but like tony said, only if theres a group.
