Thinking of trading in bike
Long story short... I let an (ex) good friend take over pymts on my sv650s 2 years ago. Got it notarized stating he was completely liable for the pymts and condition of the bike. Still kept it in my name due his bad credit but I've known him since elementary. The notary didn't mention I was still liable for the bike if he decided to give it back. I assumed if he tried I would take him to small claims and my *** is saved.. Find out I'm wrong! I'm upside down $1800 and the bike has 12, 150 miles on it. I gave it to him with less than 300
Here's a pic of it now
I'm looking into these 2
leaning more for the yamaha
What are some pros & cons of each?? Not too familiar with bike specs

GIXXER ALL THE WAY!!! The yamaha has the least amount of torque of all the sport bikes. It also lacks the refinement the gixxer has. The GSXR has all kinds of goodies... It has an awesome factory steering damper which keeps it very stable at high speeds, it has a cool gear indicator right by the tachometer, which lets you know what gear your in. It has a slipper clutch. (life saver!) If you have ever down shifted too many gears going into a corner and the rearend gets really squrly.... know what i'm talking about. The slipper clutch prevents this by gently slipping into the lower gear so its not just a sudden engage. My favorite feature is the "Mode" setting which allows you to select the power level of your riding abilities. For example this would allow a novice rider to start on a much more powerful bike. In mode C the GSXR 1000 has about as much power as a 600. Mode B is like a 750 and mode A is.....well......it pulls so hard it feels like a silver back gorilla is trying to rip you off the back of the bike!!! The 600, 750 and 1000 all have the mode feature. Hope this info helps. Oh!!! I forgot it also has a programmable shift light!!!

I don't know much about those bikes specifically, but the R6 just doesn't do it for me appearance wise. The Gixxer looks so much better imo. Although, a matte blue Ninja 636 is still my favorite, lol. Either way though, you get a bad *** bike that's fast as ****.

FWIW, I used to own an 06' R6 (looked like the one pictured, except blue). I can tell you, it had no torque. At all. Around town it wasn't really that bad. But I expected more. Once you passed 12k though, it flew! I also think it looks the best out of the 600's. But if I were to do it again, I'd go Honda.

i would reccomend a honda, i was in the same debate awhile back and chose a honda cbr 600, great bike, reliable, great turnin and stability at higher speeds, i just wish i got a liter bike instead of the 600, look at any review for the 600 class and honda is usually the bike of choice for a total package, definately not the most hp and torque numbers but a total package bike, the new repsol paint for 09 looks sweet too

I would LOVE to get a piece of that action!!!
Some really good high end brands are: Arata, Leo Vince and Sato. I have the Leo Vince and absolutely love it! Huge power gain and weight reduction. It's pretty expensive though. Some other good but less expensive brands are: M4, Akrapovic and Yoshimura. Hope this helps ya out man.

Oh, and make sure you get a full system or a slip on w/ mid pipe to get rid of the NASTY catalytic converter. It doesn't do a bit of good to get a slip on and leave the converter on the bike.
