Pavlock Performance and Circle D molested us!!!!
Ok well they molested our car.lol.
We took our "new to us" bone stock 2000 Camaro SS over the Pavlock Performance for him to replace an oil pan gasket and rear main seal. Prior to this visit it was a one owner unmolested SS and ran a best 1/8th mile ET of 8.64 which is about a 13.63 in the 1/4 mile. Just a few mods later this little car came alive and cracked into the 11s without sacrificing anything.
Brian got the oil pan off and had to pull the transmission to replace the rear main seal, so we figured that was a great time to get the transmission rebuilt. We called on Dave at Circle D and had him build us a Circle D stage 2 4L60E and had Chris over at Circle D Specialties build us a new Billet Street 4C stall converter. I figured if you're gonna do it, you may as well do it right. Brian said man I know you aren't gonna be satisfied until your in the 11's with this thing and this would sure be a good time throw some bolt-ons mods on the car. Well he twisted my arm just enough and the next thing ya know he's installing long tube headers, an LS6 intake, ported TB, SLP UD pulley and LCA relocation brackets. Hell he even replaced my original u-joints that probably would have exploded on the first launch since they were dry and had over 120K miles on them. What can I say, the man is a freaking modding machine!
Between Pavlock Performance and the guys over at Circle D, they took our stock LS1 F-body into the 11s on motor (almost 2 seconds quicker) in one visit! It's a totally different animal now and it feels great. The new transmission shifts quick and smooth. The converter feels tight until you hammer it and has good power at the slightest touch of the pedal. I almost forgot…no more fluid leaks anywhere!! Ya just gotta love one stop shopping!!
I picked up the car Thursday and had a big $$ bracket race on Saturday and Sunday at HRP. My first time down the track in the car was Friday night and it went an 11.98 in marginal air. I went to the finals on Saturday and Semis on Sunday with a total pay out of $1285.00. The car ran a best of 7.37 in the 1/8 (that's about an 11.63 in the 1/4) and ran a best 60ft of 1.590. Is that crazy or what??
Thanks for doing what you do guys and hookin' a brother up!
