The BCS is exposed as a joke again. The only way to put an end to all of the speculation is to have a playoff. This will be a big weekend with some big games -Auburn/Alabama, Florida/Florida St, OSU/OU, Baylor/Texas Tech, and A&M/Texas. Things will shake out a lot more clearly after this weekend and also after the CCG's. Texas is still in a very good spot when the dust settles.

Since when did the playoff thing become an Obama idea? That discussion has been around for years. Like someone said previously, we'll see what happens after the dust settles this weekend.

If OSU beats OU and Texas beats A&M, Texas will play for the national championship regardless if they go to the Big 12 CCG. Think about it, who is going to be in front of UT if this happens? Either Alabama or Florida is going to lose in the SEC CCG and one of them is out and one is in. OU would have lost and would be out. Regardless of what USC does they won't jump Texas. Even if Tech goes to and wins the Big 12 CCG they won't pass Texas. Simple, right, lol?
Now if OU wins against OSU then that will set off a firestorm as to who should go to the Big 12 CCG and reinforces why a playoff is needed.
I'm rooting for OSU this weekend, which will end all argument for the Sooners.
Sucks - one dropped, easy interception by Blake Gideon against Tech and none of us UT fans would have to worry about all of these scenarios.

If OSU beats OU this coming weekend, UT will likely play in the NC game, namely because Tech won't jump UT in the BCS ranking now and that is all that matters for the title game...and assuming Tech beats Baylor, we play in the Big12 title game, and if we then beat Missouri we'd be in the Fiesta Bowl more than likely.
