Default Wal-Mart @ 5 AM

Well, i have never been to anything like this before, but HOLY ****, i never knew this type of **** happened at 5 in the morning, the only way i will ever do it again is if i REALLY needed something, but other than that, hell no.

I had to park at Home Depot and walk to wally world, if i had a basket (there were none) it would have taken 30 minutes to get to electronics, i bought a Wii and a extra remote and said to hell with it, i left, took 7 or 8 minutes to get out of there and there was a 18 wheeler blocked in at Home Depot that couldnt move because of some ******* in a F350 parked right behind him, i told the guy to hit his *** and roll out.

HAPPY HOLLIDAYS,

Z

Just returned from my black Friday shopping ... Lowes.

2 battery powered soldering irons - $9ea
2 totes with folding lids - $5.50ea (kind of disappointed ... they're normally $6ea)

Wasn't too crowded ... in and out in 45 minutes.

But Wal-Mart was freaking packed!

I had to work today, so I drove by my local Walmart at 6:00am. Seriously...WTF? The entire lot was full...even around back at the automotive which wasn't even open.

You guys are nuts. Those lines and chaos are not worth the money saved. I've seen better prices on ebay for most stuff.

I used to work at Fry's Electronics as a salesman, and I can honestly say that we were probably the WORST on Black Friday. So many people in there, you couldn't MOVE! On top of that, the systems decided to shut down that day for about an hour, so the checkout line was a 3 1/2 hour wait. Sad part is, people actually WAITED that long. Thank god I'm not in retail anymore...

heh. The secret is actually this, we were discussing this yesterday.

Go in at about 4am, grab everything you want then walk around until 5. At a little before 5 walk up close to the registers and as soon as its 5:01 check out.

That wont work either, they close the store at midnight and re-open at 5am.

You are correct, I buy everything on ebay, the wholesaler's sell it to you at wholesale. Even at these great black Friday prices these stores have, you can't beat ebay. Hell, I even bought my 52 Samsung LCD off ebay with the same warrany for $800 less then the store back in June and shipping was from and no tax to pay.

There was a person in NewYork that died today from a stampede of shoppers trying to enter a Walmart.

I'll stay at home. The deals just aren't worth the wait and hassle.

I went to wal mart on "black friday'' a couple years back, and everything was wraped in black plasic, and the workers unwrap everything at 5 am. Thats the last time I do anything like that, people were taking stuff from other peoples baskets.
