Hrm, maybe they picked up it from the original thief. I hope this can turn into something.

I don't know why, but when I click that link it comes up "page can't be found" And when I try to search craigslist for it, I can't find it. But, from that owenrs response, I'v talked to these people before close to a month ago. The car was posted for sale in dallas, then after a couple of days the ad was deleted. I had contacted them and asked for more pictures and vin/tag numbers. I got the same tail panel & trunk response. then they stopped corresponding with me. Either way, if anyone is in the area and feels like looking at the car, or in contact with them. The vin is 124377n173465, there is still blue paint from the previous paint job under the drip rails. And if anyone could get them to take an inside picture of the driver quarter panel, there is something very particualr there I could id the car by. I suppose I'll have to go create a new gmail account and try emailing them agai/

Also, when you click on the link, you need to remove the spaces between dumdumdum to get it to work.

So copy and paste the link in your browser, and then remove the spaces.

Joshua is a pretty far drive from me, so I'd like to find out more about the car before I make the drive. I did talk to them today and apparently it's very difficult to get anymore pictures. but Linda will talk to her husband tonight about getting numbers off the car for me and maybe even some more pictures. we'll see. This is the same point I quit hearing from them before.

this f.t.w. blocking out ***** gotta go, its so damn childish to block out a word just because its over used.. now dum dum dum is way over used.

Its annoying to try to click a link then find out you need to edit it because of a website censor.

Tried posting before but it has to be approved. Just for note that car doesn't have the vent windows the car stolen did. They COULD have changed the doors but just something to consider. I'm not sure someone that stole it would think to do that...

The Craigslist car looks stripped. No door handle, no door locks, no trim, no side windows at all, etc... Very well could be the car in question, though he said 4-speed, and it looked to me like the original car was an auto.

I appreciate the bump, I'm still waiting for the people to get back to me wit numbers &/or pictures. If they don't by the end of today, I am going to try the local police here and see if there is a chance they can get the local poilce where the car is to have a look at it. The only thing that throws me off a little is the "tail panel & trunckreplacement" story. My car did not need those items replaced, but then again, they told me the same story a month ago. It does not take that long to replace those parts.

Car for sale doesn't have vent windows yet the one taken does. Just something I noticed.

Didn't realize they bolted in. worth a shot then i guess since it'd been stripped. But it would be pretty lame to have cops called on someone that had nothing to do with the car stolen.

If my car was stolen and one very close to that surfaces within about an hour drive from me, I'd be over there in a flash to check it out myself.

I know we all are busy and all, but come on...

Well, for those that were following this thread. Long story short, that's not my car, even though it sure looks like it could be. oh, well, the hunt goes on.
