Default What CAM should I go with??? spraying N2O

So as the title says....

I dont have a **** load of knowledge as to what cam I need to have with my juice... I am starting the modding of the engine and looking for anyone who is spraying a cam and what their thoughts are on what I should go with..

I am spraying 150 dry shot....

So now I am planning on getting a cam..... I would like it to lope nice, but its not needed.... will lose that low end with that lope....

So what you guys think????

F-king newbies.

If you are spraying less than a 200 shot, the cam doesn't really matter. No such thing as a "nitrous cam" for wussy sub-200 sized shots. They ALL work well with nitrous below that level.

Anyone that tells you to go with a certain spec for a baby shot....obviously doesn't know much.

I have to admit though Tony, I fell into the nitro cam group. So I will go sit with them.

I plan to be above or at the 200 by end of 09.....
Yes I am pretty new to the juice.. only had it 1 year, so I figured I would see if anyone had problems with a certain cam that I would want to stay away from....

You have also fallen into the "nitro" group instead of the nitrous group. Those are 2 very different things which shouldn't be confused for the other.

I'm no expert on N2O, but I do know that spraying requires more on the exhaust side. So regardless of how much gain can be found, I would assume a traditional split will yield better results than a reverse split or straight grind even on a small shot. I'm sure the effects are cumulative with larger shots, but there you go. Take it for what it's worth.

get your *** a stall and built tranny first!

you pickup more time with a good stall plus you will need it for the cam!

I have to agree w/ Eric. A better converter would be a better choice at this level.

As for the MS4, I've heard the MS3 on a 113 does better with a bottle.

Well as for a built tranny....

That will not come until I blow mine...
Some of you guys have heard my wife say that also... I cannot build myself new stuff when I have stuff that works.. LOL

But I cant go and blow it to do it either... Not in my blood to destroy things on purpose.
But I will be spraying 200 shot... So maybe I will hold off on the cam, and go with the stall.... I really need a stall more then anything...

Not too good leaving the tree at around 1100RPM, since any higher then that I spin the tires.. LOL

With the stall, that will help me kill the tranny, and from there I will get a built tranny..
Now that I am thinking about it, yeah... bagging the cam.. since when she blows I will get a block on my engine stand and start building..

You should build the tranny if you get a stall... Save time and money.. Tranny has to come out to put a new stall in.. Once you put a stall or cam the tranny will go quick...

the whole tranny going quick... I am agreeing with that..
I have a feeling that when I do a nice 3200, after a few launches and hits of the juice on that I should be able to kill the tranny out...

I am not out to kill it, but have the feeling its going to happen....

Thanks for all the input gents.... appreciate it....
Made me think of what my goal was and oh yeah..

I dont need a cam since I want to build a new motor for my baby..

God you must have picked that advice up from the retard section.

Everyone and their mom knows that a MS3 on 113 lsa is the MSX
cam of choice for spray.

MS-X cams are overated off the shelf cams anyways. Ask Greed4Speed
