will i get a warrant? i wasnt able to do my defensive driving for my ticket (speeding 14 over) i paid 3/4's of the ticket or what ever they do for it when you select defensive driving but i just wasnt able to afford or had the time for DD so will i get a warrant? and this is a texas ticket

Sometimes they do things out of the ordinary, for instance one time I forgot to send in my driving record to confirm that I hadn't taken DD in the past yr. So I called them up(on the last day that it was due), and they said... "well, do you promise that you havent taken DD in the past yr". I said ya, and that was it. Im surprised. They could have been dicks about it and tried to make some more money.
They will most likely give you an extension to do it and turn it back in to them. How can you not afford DD? its like $30 last time I took it. I took it twice in a year when a judge and the DA ordered me to....that was weird.

They will let you pay the rest of the ticket, I already went through this. I took like 6 months too long and then one day i wanted to get all squared up on everything. I call the city up that i got the ticket in. The ticket was like 185 for 20 over, I had already paid the 110 so i just had to send them a check for the other 75. They were really cool about it.

dont ignore it, and follow up with the court. It is always more expensive if you wait till later. I paid out 650 on **** I had ignored from freeport tx when I got my DL renewed. I went in snapped the picture, got the paper temp DL, only to get a denial letter in the mail.
