ALSO!! Looking for a 00' to 02' Ws6 or SS...Must be a 6spd...Preferably the basic bolt ons (headers, Shifter, CAI, ls6 intake) Will take something with a Cam..just needs to be very streetable.. Looking to spend Under 11k

That is a good area to be. lots to do there. It would not be a bad drive. You would be going against traffic as long as you have normal hours. You'll definitely want to get a tolltag if you move to that area. Google maps says it's 28 miles and 40 minute drive. You can probably make it in 30.

North Rockwall would be a good place for you! I live in Rockwall and have since 1984, I love it here.

Rockwall Commons are some new condos that just went up, they are the nicest thing Rockwall has ever seen in the way of that. I think a one bedroom is $900 a month, but don't quote me on it.

I would go with Rockwall or a small house in Royse City....... the drive is not bad until you get to 66 near Garland... so you should be fine heading to Wylie in the morning.

Cars.com is your best bet to find the WS6, btw.... it is owned by the Dallas Morning News BELO corp IIRC.

Rockwall or Royce City to Wylie is a PITA. Traffic on I-30 & 205 sucks with regular business hours and with all the residential growth out that way it is going to get worse before it gets better. On top of that there is little to nothing to do out there.

I've looked in Rockwall and Royse City. I brought my budget down to 750$ a month. Isn't anything around that area with that price. As far as cars.com i will try it out.

Thanks for the Info.

If you don't have to live in town you might look for a house to rent in Lavon or Farmersville area. You can be 10-15 min from work and they are still small towns so rent will be cheaper. Might get lucky and find something with a garage. I live just outside of Wylie but work near down town. I wish I worked in Wyile 10 min a day on the road instead of 2 hours and 15 min a day would be nice.

750.00 will be pushing it anywhere but you might also try North Garland in the Firewheel / Pleasant Valley rd area. My first house I rented was there and ending up buying as my first house. Finally got tired of the City of Garland Code enforcment **** harrasing me. Leglly you are not allowed to do any more than change a tire or oil. So one day I had an engine hanging from a cherry picker as she drove down the alley. Its was with her weekly after that.

I would look in sachse or wylie, I live in rowlett which is close to wylie and borders sachse, but its not cheap, there arent really bad areas in those cities mentioned. Pretty clean places as far as crime, someone mentioned to stay away from mesquite, definately do that, I moved from there to here in rowlett, its like moving from a jail to a nice secure home.

wylie and sachse are a little older and less condensed cities so you are more likely to find a home in your price range there.

I have looked in Wylie and Sachse, i have yet to find anything in the price rang i am looking for. I really would love to live in those area's. The apartment i found is absolutely amazing and is brand new. I would love to live in those area's if we can find a place as nice or a home instead of apartment.

For Apt these are fairly new and right on the Sachse - Wylie border. You could do a 6 month lease there and look for something else.

There are also some new units at Firewheel Mall. Sounds weird living at a mall but they are pretty cool.

Have you been down here to look around yet? There are a ton of apts in the area. It will at least get you here and give you 6 months to decide what part of town you want to be in before making a longer commitment.
