On the contrary, there are no real quality meets anymore in DFW b/c of all the ricer gtg's. Ricers see a gtg and them they spam themselves there, the cops show up and poof no more meet.

In my opinion a truly central location for all folks Frisco, Springtown, Forney, etc. and all points outside the loop would be in the vicinity of SH 360 & IH 30 in the Six Flags area or slightly North. This area even offers numerous highway directions for spirited runs and is not too far from several known Mexico Style spots for the serious gambler

If we could identify a suitable location in this central area would you "outside the loop'ers" like myself consider commiting to attend a GTG???
I would totally be in to attend a GTG somewhere around there.

With most of the LS/M meets, we make a deal with the property owners that we wont be doing anything like burnouts, racing around the parking lot, leaving trash, etc... anything to cause a nuisance. This allows us to stay if the police are called for RICERS. Our meets are usually rice free, but if they do show up and start doing stupid ****, they get kicked out and we get to stay. Makes for a good time with quality people.

EDIT: Just to make myself clear, I am not trying to set up a LSM meet, I'm just using that as an example. This just sounds like it could be a good GTG.

That is why we moved our meets from Hooters to Fuddruckers. The Hooters manager wouldn't do anything about the dumb asses and didn't want us doing anything either. The Fudruckers manager knows he gets business from us and not the ricers so he told us to do what was necessary. We've done well with keeping the unwanted elements out.

Honestly, I've been looking for a good location to start the 1st Sat of the month meeting again. I want to stay away from the Ft. W Hooters for the reason above and to centrally locat the meet. Twin Peaks was cool, but the parking situation sucked.

Agreed on the Twin Peaks comment. I did attend a GTO meet two weeks ago at the Sonic in Lewisville...very near Twin Peaks. It was a great time. The parking lot was almost designed for car meets. Don't ask me how to get back over there, LOL. I had to follow a bunch of other guys out there.

I'm somewhat central to both, the Fudds meet was pretty cool, but I'm down to help out Dallas guy set something up as well.

I'd be willing to drive a little farther once a month. Especially if we got a lot more ppl to show up.

Thats what I'm thinking. Most people would be willing to make a bit of a drive once a month for a larger meet. I know I would. We had people from the Abilene and Wichta Falls area drive in when we were doing the monthly Hooters meet.

So does anyone know of another place in Lewisville or possibly Grapevine thats cool for meets on a Saturday evening? It needs plenty of parking and preferably some decent lighting.

I know a mustang club had once a month meets at the cracker barrel in lewisville. The manager was really cool. It was more of a car show. a good amount of parking, but not sure about lighting cause it was during the day. I would definitely come.
