I'll probably get some back and it will go towards my wife's last semester of her Master's degree program.

It has been a long time since I have had to mess with this much as I worked overseas for a few years and was 1099 before that.
Is there an approximate percentage that I should expect back from the gov't? The only deduction that I have is our house (taxes) as I can't claim my son. The ex gets him.

I get a return but pay taxes out the *** and only get back about 1/2 what a pay in....it sucks! What do i have to do to not give out a "free loan to the government"???
