Hennessey Zr1 700 Went to the track yesterday with a few other HPD guys.
Hennessey called me and let me know that he had one of his ZR1's out there and he was going to be making some passes.
I had to come check this thing out.
He was on 20" HRE's so needless to say he wasnt on all out drag mode.
He ran low 11's all day long, but the impressive part was the trapspeed.
mid to high 130's!!!! Thing his highest trap speed was a 138
Needless to say this thing must rip on the hwy!
I took the viper out there for the first time and was having the same problem with traction.
I managed a 12.3X @ 127 staying in 3rd with a 2.3 60ft
Hendrick drove the car to a 12.0 @ 126 with a 2.2 60ft
I was a nervous wreck the entire time I was skidding down the track.
I need alot more seat time to get this thing down right and would like to see some low 11's passes with a good prepped track.
Car has alot left in it. I am very impressed by how hard 4th gear pulls on the hwy!!
Cant wait to see what this thing will do with a set of full exhaust!

View Video on FQuickThis was that 12.0 run against me which was also my best run of the day. That ZR1 was impressive, but the 911 that went 10.8@128 and made it look easy impressed me the most. I've got a video of 1 of the ZR1 passes as well.

Nope wasn't me mine is white and bone stock.... TUUURRD. There is no way it will hang with the viper right now. I actually haven't driven it since I bought it, my had to dad pick it up for me because I had to leave for a job. I get home this Wednesday and will have a procharger, headers etc on the way!
I read about the ZR1 on Corvetteforum I wish I could have been there to see it.(the tools on that forum make me ashamed to own a vette. The day I turn 25 I will be following in your footsteps with the viper G)

Yeah he took off before we ran and didnt expect to hang with him.
Car is loud and was cammin.
I am guessing he had more then a cam.
From what I gather after short shifting 2nd I would think the car has 128-129mph in it stock.
So the dude has to be running 550+ to hang with me on the hwy.
Regardless car sounded great

I am going to order the bellenger full exhaust system.
Cant wait till I can put some spray on this puppy

Lil Powell went 131 MPH w/ 500 RWHP. This car makes the same power and weighs the same, so it seems pretty reasonable to assume it would trap in the high 120's.
