Default Motor Build input..

Just wanted to get some of you all's input on which motor ya'll would go with... been thinking of either going with a 402 or just a forged Ls1, nothing real monsterous planned as far as making a gazzillion Hp, just would be set up for a pretty healthy dose of Nitrous, possiblly a good amount of boost.... which you guys think, 402 or LS1?? both would either be backed by a TH350 of TH400 with a 4k stall..

Don't rule out an iron 6.0 build if you're thinking boost.

TSP 408's are 402's. They use the 408 as a name plate.

The only difference between the 2 is one is bored a little more.

I would definitely recommend an HKE iron block 408. Ours was very street friendly and would have loved a shot of gas. It was a high 9 second car on motor and we beat the hell out of it. We are currently having it freshened up as a back up and have NO plans of selling it. It was the investment I've every made.

Call Erik at HKE and don't look back.

Forged 9:1 347, stock crank, stock heads, stock manifold, stock TB, then buy a D1 Procharger with the money you saved. Make 550rwhp with a simple Walbro and 42lb injectors. Then you have 800rwhp potential and stock driveability while you save up for fuel system/rear end/suspension.

Or....

You could buy my LME/Trickflow 408 for $7000 and I'll tune it for free. The motor was around $10k and has 5000 miles, probably makes 540rwhp n/a.

Yep. Turbo 1st gen lol. I'm hooked after riding in Ben's. I'm probably going to part my car completely out and sell it as a stock roller or with a stock motor, then buy a 1st gen get to work on it.
