HELP: Anniversary Dinner (Houston Area)
Guys, I need a little help. My one year anniversary is coming up and I need a place to go out to dinner. I'm looking for a classy place to take her for about $150 or so including a bottle of wine. I have taken her to Fogo de` Cao on Westheimer and Chi on 45. I'm looking for suggestions on a steak, sushi, or Italian place.
Thanks guys,
Beau

Strip House in downtown is excellent. The atmosphere is great and the food is phenominal. You could also try Del Frisco in the Galleria, or Tony's in Greenway Plaza. All of those are about in that price range.

Steamboat House was nice. The owner actually came and sat down with us briefly. Of course, that was when they first opened.
I havent been here yet, but I hear it is quite good: Bertani Ranch Steakhouse

Steak - Taste of Texas Beltway8 & I-10 (no reservations), Brenners I-10 & Wilcrest, Brennens - Downtown
Rudy Lechners - German/Austiran FoodGessner & Briar Forrest/Westheimer if your into that kind of thing. Pretty cool expierence and have an authentic band on saturday nights.
Italian - Only kinda nice one I know of is Carabbas, but i don't think thats the kind of place you are looking for.
Sushi is everywhere. I wouldn't take a date to an anniversey date unless she specifically asked for sushi.

RAINBOW LODGE
2011 Ella Blvd
Houston, TX 77008
713-861-8666
www.rainbow-lodge.com
When diners enter the 100-year-old log cabin which houses the Rainbow Lodge, they encounter the warm interior hosting antique hunting and fishing collectibles and three fireplaces. Creek views, a casual bar and outdoor spaces are also available to guests. Once seated, diners are welcome to order Lobster and Yellow Tomato Risotto, Wild Game like Venison or Duck, or any other of the dishes offered on the menu. Lunchers may find a lighter menu during the week and Sunday brunchers enjoy 99 cent Mimosas or Champagne. A monthly outdoor wine series invites guests to several wine values and food available different stations.

Mark's Restaurant
1658 Westheimer Rd
Houston, TX 77006
713-523-3800
www.marks1658.com
Set inside what was once a Gothic church, Mark's remains a shrine for those who appreciate haute cuisine and a majestic atmosphere. The principle dining area is perfect for hobnobbing. But if romance is on your mind, ask for the intimate perch called the Loft. A private room called the Alcove can also be reserved for small gatherings of up to eight. All the rooms have their own distinctive accents, but the focal point is the main room with its illuminated arched ceiling and wine room, which sparkles from above like a stained-glass window. This feast for the eyes can only be matched by the spectacular food. The menu is updated seasonally, but dishes such as the roasted garlic and cauliflower flan and the Kentucky bourbon pork tenderloin are served all year. The raspberry lemonade is a Mark's standard and a Houston favorite for hot summer days. Recognized chef Mark *** is behind the ship's steering wheel. And they have Complimentary Valet.

These are the two best restaurants for your occasion according the Houston Press, and I've heard great stuff about Rainbow Lodge. IMO i say skip the steak house to me thats more like a birthday thing, the anniversary night is all about her imo, check the AOL City Guide for Houston to get more recommendations on some places. Or go on Yelp.com for Houston and search there, it's a site with amateur reviews and honest opinions of restaurants from real people.
