HRP in the viper
11.8 @ 118 1.91 60ft on the 20in CCW's
I hit the rev limiter from 1st to 2nd with some wheel spin but I was happy to get into the 11's but was not happy about the trapspeed
I am confused with the mph compared to sealy (127-128) with the 12.0 run and a 2.3 60ft
Maybe hitting the rev limiter slowed down that much momentum?
Someone with more knowledge can chime in, just seems to be a big difference.
4th time down the track and I am really starting to get the feel for this car. No question I need some more seat time I think I can get it deep into the 11's with the 20in.
As soon as I hit that goal I am going to put the Bellengers and the new PCM on!
baby steps!

Did all 4 runs have low trap speeds? what about lanes, did the right land or left lane have a slower speed? Scan and post some of your slips if possible. We really don't have enough info to know if the timing equipment was not correct at HRP.
But in my opinion, with a 2.3x sixty at Seally and a 1.91 sixty here at HRP it seems possible to me that the rev limiter and wheel spin from 1st to 2nd might have slowed you down in your mph but since you had such a good launch 4-5 tenths better than Seally that the good launch made up for the 1st-2nd goof and you ended up running a better ET at a slower MPH.
The general rule of thumb is every .1 change in the 60' will be worth .2 seconds ET. Assuming that rule is true, you made up almost a second in the first 60' on the pass in HRP over the pass in Sealy.
Get your 60' down to 1.6-1.7 and run a clean race the down the rest of the track to trap 127-128mph and your looking at very low 11's.

Cutting that much off your 60' without cutting much off your overall ET is why your mph is lower.
The timer could be off, but your MPH is averaged over the last 66' so I wouldn't try to compare where you are as you cross the 1/4 to what your official MPH on the slip is.
Viper looks good.
Next time you go to HRP drive 2 miles down to my house and take me for a ride.

Your mph on the time slip is averaged over the last 66', not your speed as you cross 1320'.
Seems to me that 60' is the same at 120 mph as it is at 0 mph (discounting relativity). I simply pointed out that there is a discrepancy between instantaneous velocity across the 1/4 and what is averaged over the last 66'.
I also gave the real reason for the lowered trap speed, when most people suggested the timer.

I was just stating that I doubt the Viper is picking up much speed in the last 3/10s of a second at the end of the run.
