I worked at the Clear Lake gun range for a year and we charged 87 for the class and that included us sending off the paperwork and also taking pictures there. All you have to do is send them their money. Al Trug is a great guy with tons of knowledge. I would recomend him to anyone in the league city/clear lake.dickinson area.

can i purchase i handgun or any type of fire arm in Texas even though i cant get one in cali because of the restraining order i have on me out there?? It dont end till 2011or2012 i think, and even though it ends i still cant purchase i fire arm in cali, i will need to make a court date and tell the judge why i wanna purchase a fire arm...this blows..

I think it is a state requirement that it must be a 10 hour class. If you are really concerned about the exact time requirement pleasse look it up as I am just going off of what I believe I read in teh lawbook. I could be mistaken.
the state fee is not allways 140. there are/were various discounts availible. if you dont make much $$ you may get a discount, if you are millitary or a veteran you get a discount and there are others.
I was a stuent when I got mine the first tiem so I fell into the "poor" catagory and got a discount. when I renewed it it was free due to being a vet.
You send $140 to the state to apply, so you guys are looking at $240 total.
