Guys, this kind of stuff is happening EVERYWHERE right now. Not just in one area of Houston. You should ALWAYS be aware of your surroundings. When the economy goes south like it has, crime like this increases.

I'm starting to wonder if thats why there is good deals on craigslist stolen car parts. I bought almost all my parts off of craigslist I payed $300.00 for my vigilante converter, edelbrock 52mm t-body, msd 6al, complete wiring harness, sfi flywheel, electric waterpump, and msd wires. I almost had a heart attack when I picked all this up for that price and it all was in great condition and worked fine. The guy didn't seam like the type that would be a thief but who knows nowadays.
I'm not worried about it. It's legal...It's semi-automatic. Long barrel rifle. Very legal. Only illegal if the barrel is less then 16 inches or fully-auto..Thanx for lookin out though.

You can have it, but if you dont have a CHL you have to keep your clip and your firearm seperate and where you have to make 3 moves or 2 moves to be able to shoot. Dont keep one in the chamber but bequick if you need it.

I live right down the street from there in the Neighborhood that has had some trouble lately. Needless to say, I now set the alarm and my Rottweiler stays in the house all day. They are suppose to be putting a gate on my street as well as putting up some video cameras. Plus, the Police have been patrolling very often. After IKE hit, we have gotten some pretty shady characters on this side of Friendswood that have seemed to migrate North from Galveston into the apartments on the Northwest side of 528. Looks like we'll have to start paying more attention to what's going on around us. I carry at least one gun all the time. However, if 6 guys storm the car with guns...I think running is probably the smartest thing to do.

Very incorrect. It is now legal in Texas to carry a concealed firearm loaded in your vehicle. The law states that you must be traveling. Well, going from point A to B is traveling. Check up on your state laws man. I have cocked and locked in my truck at all times!

We've also been warned thru e-mail at work about 2 different women being robbed in the parking lot of Baybrook Mall (behind Dillards) in the last 2 weeks. I work off Bay Area. It's getting shitty everywhere..... 
As far as the pistol. I keep that in the trunk just to be safe, unless I'm truely traveling I'll have it in my overnight bag.
The ak or ar just sits on the passenger seat in a non threatening manner, my tint is dark as ****. Only time it's seen is if the windows down. It would be pointless to have to get your clip out of the glove box or something. I'm always checking my rearview mirror and aware of my suroundings but still. It's not easy to load the drum on my pullbup with the way the grip is. The mags load behind the trigger/grip instead of infront..

I've been feeling that vibe lately that everyone hates me because of my car. I use my vette as my daily driver. I used to keep the exhaust valve open to enjoy the exhaust, but lately I just keep the valve closed and windows up.
It sucks, but with the economy tanking you want to just blend in and not look like you are showing off.
