Default Cam question please help

Can you guys help me i am going to buy a cam from a guy on craigslist today, it is a 05 gto with the ls2,is it the same spec as that of a 02+ ls6 cam and will that gto engine have the longer 0.6 mm valves like the 02+ ls6 sodium-potassium filled valves?

The cam has only 6000 miles on it and it is a roller i think you can reuse them and also they have to be polished, have you had a problem with a cam in the past.

There is a difference between LS2 and LS1 cam sensor location.

Ill help you out some. The GTO cam is the 01 Z06 cam with .525 lift. Only the Z06 itself had the sodium valves. Buying the cam is not worth the time installing it. I would NEVER buy used springs.

Thanks for the info, i did not buy the cam because it did not have the small ramps in front of the rear journal on the cam for the cam sensor, and not only that his ad said it had 6k and when i got there he said it had 10k.
