Default Wheel Repair

OK, I took my bent lipped wheel to Wheels America to get it fixed because I had a coupon. Well they fixed the lip fine, but when I got it back, got several abrasions and a weird mark that looks like a punch tool made it.

I was sick, and having a bad day when I picked it up, so didn't say anything. Is there another wheel repair shop not to far out from I45 & FM1960 that anyone has good experience with? I have a few others I want to get repaired that I bought from a member on here, and after this experience, i can tell tell W.A. doesn't take good care of customers belongings.

Thanks!

Wheels America will fix the wheel if there are any problems with it. Can you post pictures of the wheel? I worked for Wheels American here in Dallas doing QC work for a short time.

I will try and get some pics tonight when I get home from work. I have a feeling my digital camera went with my fiance back to beaumont, so might have to use my blackberry. I should have just said something when I picked it up, because now I will probably have to pay to have it fixed again.

I wouldn't be upset about it, but the wheel had a perfect face on it, and just the lip was bent thanks to a tire shop.

Several years ago I had a problem with a wheel repaired at Wheels America as well. It simply needed to be repainted but they threw it on a lathe and machined it and screwed it up. They could only appologize for it. The insurance company had to buy a new one and Wheels America was ok with that which gave me an even worse impression. Sounds like not much has changed.

Scratches and knicks by valve stem placement. This DEFINITELY was not here before taking rim to them.

This is the weird punch hole thing I was talking about. I have several knicks like this, but almost look like little chips from pebbles, but I am 99.9% certain these were not there before hand.

But, just took those quick, hope they come out good. I have this wheel that needs to be repaired, hope it turned out good. Think it can be fixed?

^ This is kinda deep and sharp if you run your finger across it.

Just a note. Last pic is a different wheel, not the one that came back slightly damaged.

Either way, yes I was very pissed when I picked up my wheel and saw all the marks on it. I have to be very careful not to let my anger take over, because I am not a very nice person. I might only be 6'0" and 165lbs, but I have taken down people much bigger than me when what I call, "the rage" takes over.

He made sure i was happy before he gave me the keys to leave..and the work was awesome.

I don't care to even get in an arguement with a company that can't even take care of something as simple as a wheel... Its not worth me getting myself all wound up over it. I rather just not go back to them, as it will be there loss of my business, and my word of mouth. So if you want to be an ***, do it else where. I was just saying, I knew that if the discussion would have turned south, I would have flown off the handle very quickly and nothing would have been resolved.

Its a company that has been around for 14 years and is the largest wheel repair company in the US.I do think they know how to fix a wheel.
You can get the wheel fixed free of charge if you can keep Taz under control and make a simple mature phone call. Insted you would rather make a thread on this board and complain about it to us hoping we will have some sympathy.
95% of their business is through actual businesses so your word of mouth isnt going to put a dent in anything.

I couldn't care less how long they have been in business. Maybe I don't want my wheel fixed for free. Sorry I am not as perfect as you Sam... But I am not gonna do business with a company that is in the business of repairing wheels, and they fix it, but yet still cause obvious damage to the wheel. Plain and simple... It is my choice what I choose to do, if I don't want to go back there, that is my choice. So I still don't see your reasoning of your post(s). My thread shared my experience with them, and asked for recommendations on an alternate business, show the the whining, where I asked for sympathy?

And I know plenty about the company, so thanks for the history lesson. Most of there business being from businesses again is no concern of mine. That doesn't change the fact. I am so sick of tired of people making the stupid assessment that it won't put a dent in there business. Its the same thing if you go to a retail store like BestBuy and have a bad experience, and they don't go back, and don't recommend shopping there to there friends, is it gonna hurt them? Probably not...

So, unless you have a wheel repair shop to recommend, I am done conversing with you.
