Thumbs up I am SOOOO going to get this!!!

www.leftlanedrivers.org

When I go to the shop in Houston, 3-4 times a week, Wharton to Houston, on US59, people driving in the left lane at or less than the posted speed limit make me want to ^%^(%( especially the18 wheelers!!!!

Now, I normally drive the limit or 3-5 mph over, and the only thing that pisses me off more than this is when I am in the right lane, someone catches up to me in the left (off my left rear corner) where I can barely see them, and stays there. When traffic permits, I always use my cruise control, and these jackasses will pull up to my side, pull forward a little then back to my rear drivers side....
This stuff happens EVERY DAY!! I haven't taken a drivers license test since I was in HS (1985) but they taught us then that the left lane is for passing OR traffic that is moving faster. Maybe we need to have to take a test every time we renew our license????

I wouldn't sport it personally but YES you are correct. As a truck driver (18 wheeler) it is VERY annoying for people to just drive in the left lane at or below speed limits. Now to the o/p you stated trucks are left hand drivers and slow, I'm not calling you a liar but most trucks only use the right lane unless passing another. Now what you might not know is the majority of company semi's are governed at 62, 63, 65, 68 or if your're lucky maybe 72 mph and a lot of times take forever passing another governed truck. I as a company driver WILL NOT drive a governed truck. But w/o rambling on that banner is not a bad idea either.

I do know about the governed trucks, but without saying anything bad per say, most of the ones I am complaining about are registered in "the valley" I understand that it takes a loong time to pass in a truck, I just don't understand why after alot of the trucks have made the pass, they stay in the left lane. Most of the "rant" is about cars anyway, the "esp 18 wheelers" is in reference to when the right lane is clear. I did in fact used to drive trucks (briefly in the early '90s)

So, the debate is, "move over" as an order...or get "slower traffic" to remind anyone who has actually taken a driver course?

Which one would be the better choice...

I love it. I'd love to have it on a truck or some other big vehicle.

I'd hate to have it on the car when getting pulled over for speeding.

I'm leaning more to the "Slower traffic ------>"

I wonder if I can edit this and make it a Poll?

Its not that he'd write a ticket for it, its more like he would add it to his notes. If you tried to fight the ticket, it would be something for him to note & bring up in court. Stuff like that and bumpers stickers that read "How's my driving dial 1-800-EAT-****" and license plates like 2FAST4U get noted and brought up in court.

They stole my idea.
I said a long time ago I wanted to get one that said "on your left". Any cyclist will understand.
It would be a hint to get over, and a hint at one of my hobbies for those "in the know".

Skiers and some snowboarders do this too. As I am coming down on someone I will tell them "on your left" or "on your right".

i want one that says "Get the **** out of the FAST LANE"

The problem is the think YOU are the one being a retatard. I have friends who try to block faster cars from passing becasue they think it is thier duty to control the speed limit. Yeah Ive told them they are ********.
