In Texas once you have been caught trespassing, the owner has 2 years to officially file on you. If your friends charges were dropped, they will have a hard time making anything stick to you.

well the owner or manager of the property has to ask you to leave the property first. If you refuse to leave, then they can file criminal tresspass, which is a class b mis.. The officer should of heard the facts before makin the decision to arrest. He could of just issued a class c citation for tresspassin and let you go on your way..this case is going to get thrown out..

We did not get a warning, but the officer did not want to take us in to jail. The security guards demanded that we go to jail, and made the cop take us. The police officer told us that it was stupid, and hes sorry he couldnt take us to our apt, and the judge agreed in the morning, that it was a bs charge. Hopefully this judge thinks the same, I really dont want to pay for a lawyer, but I also dont want to go to court and try and represent myself and fail.

i wa arrested many yrs ago for the same thing wa at a friends house whos mom hated me she came home early from work saw me there and called cops telling them i broke in. my friend told them that was bs and that we were hangin out. cops thought it was bs but she pushed to have m arrested so they got me for trespassing. i wasnt even in long enough to be processed before i got timed served. id set a court date with a public defender take it to trial like they said if it gets to that point but with buddies being dropped so will yours cant get you if not gonna get him.

Criminal Trespass is a class B, not an A.
you went to jail on a charge of Criminal Trespass right !?!? in the morning you talked to the judge, right !?!?
you paid someone to "bond" you out, right !?!?
you were supposed to have went BACK to court on those charges. did your buddy go back to court afterwards !?!? not sure why you would have a warrant unless you missed a court date.
and why haven't you talked or gone into the DA's office and explained everything to them !?!?

Rent a cops I know this is a old thread but just for info.
ANYTIME a " rent a cop " stops you. ... LIKE AT A MALL or casino,He can't detain you !
He can't stop you from leaving,he can't block your car he can't do anything other then TRY and slow you up until real police show up.
So next time just keep walking. ... They can't block your car or detain you as you may be heading home for your meds causing them to be liable.
