The Flood gate in Texas City-a few trout have been seen in the lights on live shrimp, and the gulps. Occasional reds on the same bait.

East Galveston Bay-trout are good on the south shoreline on Catch 5s, MirrOlures and Catch 2000s. Whiting and sand trout are good on the edge of the Intracoastal on fresh shrimp. Better trout have come on topwaters in the late evening.

West Galveston Bay-Waders have taken good trout in the mud and shell on topwaters and Corkies in the afternoon. Some trout were beginning to move to sand before the cold front. Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs.

Sounds like some sort of prison romance.

Just make the trip to Corpus Christi area. I was going to go this weekend, but we are hitting the busy season at work, so no go for me.
