One thing all you GM nuthuggers/Mustang bashers keep forgetting, Ford doesn't need power to beat Chevy and Dodge in sales. That's all Ford cares about, and that's why they didn't need any bailout

Previous mod motors are actually really impressive. The car I always bring up is the Accufab tube chassis Cougar, ran 6.9@215 with production 96 Cobra block and heads. When Ford gets the short block right like in the 03/04 Cobras, that motor really shines. NA I just haven't ever been really impressed, but force induction.... I dunno about any of these 3 valve monkey business motors though.

I agree with this statement but I think many many american companies with suffer from the the gov. Ford had the best motors at the beginning when indy car racing was first established, but Ford got man handled by the goverment and to stop their investment in the "racing" department. Dont believe me, google it.
I dont like the new 09 mustang as well.

the difference between a Chevy small block with FI and a ford small block with forced induction would be, could we say, hmm hundreds of horsepower? well 03/04 cobras, the zr1 has it beat by 250hp, and the new gt500 by 150. and its a **** load lighter... ok fine blha blah blah its a corvette this its a corvette that... ok what about the cts-v? still has em both beat. why? cuz gm is the bomb
is there really a need to debate which is betteR? of course its all opinion based, but i wont ever own a ford. thats just me

while i agree on the last one. i have to say that its pretty pathetic that you can already buy a 2010 mustang, a 2010 370z. yet there is still not one 2010camaro available for immediate purchase . sucks that a car that has such a following and demand still isnt readily available.

Dude. You're a dipshit. Why would you compare a 7 year old car to a brand new top of the line Corvette? The Mustang, GT500, Cobra, etc and Corvette were never made to compete against eachother and yet you nutswingers are constantly saying that well the Corvette is better than your Mustang; I guess its cause that's the only quick car you've got for a few more weeks.

You've obviously never driven a Ford GT, I have. IMO, GT > ZR1 as far as driving experience goes.

i got **** once for talking smack to someone on this site. here, this time, all i was doing was stating my opinion, and i get harrased from a ******* admin....great place.... im not saying they are meant to compete, i wasnt even really comparing the cars... if NE thing, i was comparing the FI gm engines and the FI ford engines, HORSEPOWER wise.... but i guess im a **** kid... o well...

ok, i'm gonna have to call bullshit on that one. it is fair to compare the GT500 to the ZR1. even if you do compare the Ford GT to the ZR1, isn't the ZR1 faster? there's always guys that will prefer GM's products over Ford's, and vice versa. why argue about it? this thread is starting to majorly suck
