CAM SPECS: INTAKE EXHAUST
ADV DURATION 281 283
DURATION@.050 228 230 LOBE SEPARATION 112.0

I am thinking of installing this in my Camaro and wanted input before I did the swap. Anyone have a video of it running? Wanted to know how it runs, how it idles and if it's worth the money and swap. Thanks guys

I would go a little bigger. You'll be happier cause thats not a small cam but you still have some room if you wanna go bigger especially if your gonna keep it N/A.. Just a thought

That's pretty close to mine. VRX4 228/230 .588 .592 112LSA

I don't know what your tolerance is in daily driving situations, but I actually feel that I'm just a bit borderline with mine. It runs okay, but I personally wouldn't go any larger.

I ran that cam in my 5.3 truck with a 3800 stall converter, here is a video of it last year at the track, and in my sig is the best time I was able to get before selling the truck.

I just got this cam for my 99 Z28. Haven't installed it yet though. Do a youtube search for "comp cam 228/230" and there are a half a dozen videos of this cam. One good one in a 98 C5 and another one is in a holden. The Vette only has BBK shorty headers, so with some long tubes and a cutout, this cam should sound even better. It has a nice lope to it.

Everything else stock. Driveability awesome, still gets 32MPG on the highway and 22 in the city. Ran 11.60@122 on a crappy 1.8 sixty foot and no powershifting!
Found this in the cam only dyno thread. Obviously its on a Z06, so there are some slight differences to take into consideration.

The guy I know that has a similar grind wishes he went with a larger one. The lift is also a bit low IMO. Looks like an old lobe design.
