Default MOVING TO FORT WORTH - need help finding an Apt

Got a new job down in Fort Worth, so I will be relocating there from here in Michigan soon. I need you guys to be my eyes down there. I'm looking for a decent place in the North Richland Hills/Richland Hills/Hurst area for around 500 bucks. Looking for an apartment/condo/house that I can rent, would like to have best deal i can, but I also don't wan to live in a crack house. Don't know if some places down there will pay utilities, some do up here in Michigan. I've found some decent stuff online, but nothing beats getting the inside from people who live there now! If you guys have any good spots in mind, post up here!!

Thanks!

$500 a month is not going to get you much in NRH. You might want to look into Burleson or even Kennedale.

I'm just looking for a small 1 bedroom, I won't be around much haha. Most 1 bedroom apartments I've seen are around 500 bucks, and are pretty nice. But then again, thats "internet nice" so I still have to make a trip down there to really check out places. Just looking for any suggestions of where to start!

Thanks!

You might have to up the anti to about the $650-$700 range you will get a decent nice apt and be located in nice areas that right there alone I think is worth the extra dough to know your car wont get fuct with. I would stay away from the E. SIDE OF Ft Worth and most of Dallas post up the apt name and street or adress and we will lead you to the right direction. We got good parts and bad parts just like any major city I am sure you know about that from being from Michigan.

I made the same move, but from Cali about 7 months ago. Got somewhere near work until I could find a place. You can get an apartment in my complex for about that price and its a nice area, not ghetto, gated and central to everywhere. Right by all the major freeways and even a bar within walking distance that has bikini contests every monday night too

Apartments are : Gateways @ Centreport, zip code 76155.

PM me if you have any questions.

How does this place look? It is literally 1k feet from where I'll be working. Its called remington oaks, and the prices are right down my alley as well...

That place is kinda ghetto.
It's across from the TCC campus.
With the car that you have, you might want to look for a place with a garage.
I don't think any of those apts in that complex have garages.
Where are you going to be working?
BTW: I live in NRH.

Those apts aren't too bad. I live in some Apartments south of there in Arlington. It's about a 15 min drive and you have a direct shot at 820 North. There are quite a few complexes around me and I have never had my car messed with. (knock on wood) The crime rate is very minimal and there is a very nice housing area that backs up to our apartments. I pay 475 a month for rent and that includes water. Electricity is up to me, but it's never bad for a 1bdrm. Just don't leave your A/C on 65 while you're gone and you'll be fine. There is covered parking and a 24hour security service driving around. There are quite a few nice cars in my complex and I've never heard about any of them having issues. They are called The Parks at Treepoint in Arlington
