Default What is this animal?

This was taken by a game camera in south Texas. People keep calling it a badger, but I'd have to disagree on the fact that it doesn't look like one.

Can anyone put a name to it?

It looks like a badger for sure. Has the exact same build. It could of been a "pet" that was released. However, it doesnt have to have the markings to be a badger.

What part of south Texas?

I have just seen a lot of them...only a few in S Texas, but many further south. I was about 3 feet from one in a cave near Pandale Texas one time...was spulunking and this guy was sitting on a shelf in this cave as I lifted into it...got eye level with him at 3 ft...they are not aggressive. Badgers on the other hand are mean ******..or can be. Was walking to my blind while hunting in S Texas seeing all these holes in the ground..all the sudden i here a wicked little growl and then sounded like something coming at me...ran my *** to my blind jumped up on the ladder and turned my flashlight down to the ground to see this pissed off mama badger ready to rip me a new one....cool animals though.
