Just wondering what all is going on. Police parked on 45S and/@ Beltway since after lunch or so.

I noticed this too coming back from UH. I didn't see any flood waters. They were just parked at the entrances, the exits, on the shoulder, in parking lots along the feeder.

 

tryin to hunt down ls1techers!!! Too bad for all the pot hole's and dumb *** driver's in that area or they wouldn't be able to catch most us tech memebers!!!lol

 

I have seen them do that before. It was a long time ago and i had no clue what was going on lol.

 

There are a few cops on here. Maybe they can chime in.

 

That's weird. I dodged a bullet tonight, the passport saved my *** lighting one up on 59 seconds before I was going to pull the trigger on a new challenger RT.

 

I saw them on I-45 all the way from Beltway 8 S to 610 N. Still no HPD members gonna chime in?

 

when my unit got back from iraq they shut down I45 for our busses comming from the airport. it made the drive very short. maybe its somthing similar

I noticed the same thing. From downtown to the Beltway, there must have been 30-40 cop cars/trucks. Nobody knows???? It would appear they were on the lookout for someone, but I wasn't driving the Trans Am yesterday!!!

Reading this made me remember. Saw on the news Joe Biden was in town.

 

They are trying to quarantine the swine flu.

At first I thought it was a speed trap, but after the 10th car just wasnt sure. Maybe there waiting to spot the first 5th gen on the street.

 

 

They were all over the place in River Oaks blocking many streets (on Tuesday Evening).

 

When someone "important" is in town, they do this.

Obviously, they don't advertise it on the news in advance. They want to keep folks out of the underpasses to make sure they aren't up to "anything" while folks are passing overhead.

They will also usually move or secure any persons with "disabled" vehicles along any proposed route.

They will also shut down the entire Freeway while said "person" is enroute, which makes traffic a real joy.

You see it along 45 since they ususally go in and out via Ellington Field.

 

Joe Biden was in town to pay a visit to George Bush Senior and the big Oil Execs asking them to drive up gas prices again, thus the reason they where in River Oaks You didnt hear anything from me j/k I dunno, but if he was in town he probably did pay G.B. Senior a visit just to learn the ropes from a Former Vice Pres and President.
