question about driveability
question about driveability i'm planning on picking up these 10 spoke SS wheels painted black this saturday from a guy in granbury. he says there is a small crack on the wheel (pictured). he says that it's not big but some JB weld or some other kind of metal bonder will work. he wants 200 for the wheels/tires (60% life left), are they driveable, is it an easy fix if they're not?

I figured for 200 I could have three good wheels and four good tires. The last wheel I could try and mess with, if it doesn't work out oh well. I think I'm gonna run Prostars up front and have two of the black SS wheels out back.

jb weld wont do it, the only way to fix that is take it to someone that can weld aluminum, but even then, there are no promises... i see that **** everyday, best way is to get new rims, but i wouldnt get those from the get go soo...

back in my mini truckin days I bought some wheels that had a crack in one simular to the one you posted...guy I bought them from had it fixed, and like 2 days later the same wheel cracked again in two places...one being the same place and one in a new spot...leaked down on the highway and shredded in inside of the tire...
Wow, that's not what I want to happen. Thanks for the honesty guys. I need some backup tires so more than likely I'll do it and just toss the cracked wheel, get a single SS wheel elsewhere and black it out. But we'll see, I'm not final on the decision yet.
