A recall of 300 cars isnt anything at all. Other brands recall vehicles in tens of thousands. Its good they caught it so early on.

And it only takes half an hour to fix.
That happened to mine. Dealer called us to come pick it up RIGHT before they announced the problem, then had to delay pick up till the next day.

this isn't the point. this car has already been delayed for so long, and they're relying so much on this car doing well, you think they would have gone the extra step to ensure that as many things as possible would have been taken care of.

i find it hard to believe that they could have not had an instance of this happening during testing, when the car has only been on delivery for a week or two, and customers who have taken delivery are already having problems with this. i mean, i guess anything's possible, but seriously, why would you even take the chance on running a cable that carries power for the car that close to anything that could possibly melt/fray it and cause a short?

kudos to them for doing what it takes to fix this as quickly and painlessly as possible, but it shouldn't have been an issue to begin with.

yes but you cant go end check every wire in the car 20 times over and it can still
have a porblem later, these cars are ALOT more high tech then 4th gens we have they
have a total of 27-33 modules "computers" compared to the old pcm, bcm, and thats about it, more **** can go wrong as with any new car with newer technology, **** happens and will will happen, no matter what car brand or model...
