From 12 years of experience, and not trying to get into a debate who perfers what name brand header...Most are pretty good, but American racing has been on all of my rides, and family rides, from day 1... Had a set of kooks and those did not stay on very long.....

These guys at lmr will only use the best of the best, when coming to their products, and it also doesnt hurt they got the best of the best designer!!!!

When josh gets through designing, these headers,I would love for him to design me some custom headers for my cigarette boat!!!!!

EWWWW!!! A lmr built 496ho in my baja sounds dirty!!!

Guys, We need to clear the air here as there's a misconception as to who is designing headers for the 5th Gen. The headers you see in the photo's are our G8's. We sent a set to LMR unfinished so that they can modify them for clearance of the oil cooler on the drivers side. Josh worked his magic and got our G8 headers to work. We will look at what Josh did but ultimately a new design will be done. We'll have an S/S in our building Monday morning. Not long after headers will be available.

As for the finished product, its going to be as great as every other product American Racing produces. WE CHOSE to help them out since they did not have a test car to build headers for. Their car showed up today and when I spoke with Mike(from AR) earlier our headers were being test fitted on the car. Hope that clears the air!

This explains why they are welded with wire.

No sir I don't wire feed my headers. I build turbo headers and race headers all the time and they are fully tig welded. The mig welding that ARH does is top notch, using the proper stainless wire. If every set of there headers were tig welded, then the price would be way more expensive. Due to the time involved.

Hope this helps.
