Comal Condos are in a great location. They go for $250/night plus 13% tax. If you have someone to split the cost with you it's not bad at all. You can book them though New Braunfels Resort Accomodations at 830 629-5924

For those of you wanting to float the Guadalupe, I don't think there's much water in there to float it because of the drought and Canyon Lake being so low. As of this morning, the Canyon dam release rate was 55 CFS, which is nothing more than a trickle. Best bet would be to hit the Comal, which stays at a constant level year round regardless of rainfall conditions.
damn and I am going to canyon lake next weekend with some friends to float the guadeloupe!
What do yall recommend us do?

The Guadalupe is bad now, unless something changes this week and here a ton of rain there. Go check out the Comal, there are several outfitters around/off Common St. with preety good deals and the Comal has chutes and is much cleaner. We really liked the Comal! Saturday, we ended up walking and fighting ourselves off rocks as much as we did floating/drinking the Guadalupe.

Thanks for the info mmiller, that's the spot!

I would definitely float the Comal and not bother with the Guadalupe. You'll have a much better time - guaranteed. No walking. No dragging over rocks. No stagnant water. Better scenery.

I've been floating three to four times a week since I've been home on break. Comal every time, it never gets old and the scenery is usually pretty good. Reppin' the LS1Tech sticker on the Z every time.

Well its that time again my texas peps.... With Labor day coming next weekend, its time to float the river with cold beer and good friends. This year we are doing it right and renting a house on the river. With the Guadalupe River Conditions still low, we are floating the Comal and hit Austin in the evenings... Jea !!!

Austin is wild right now.. with all the new freshman at UT and TSU. I went to 6th this past weekend and it was chaotic.
