I live in the Belton area not to far from Killeen. Its not a bad area as its within driving distance to anything and everything you could want to do.

OP what unit you in?
I would say try to move to cove or HH. I had a couple of soldiers that lived in HH and it didn't seem to bad, not nearly as bad as Killeen. I had another guy who lived outside cove, just down the road from the 4 corners entrance onto post and it was nice (compared to Killeen). Anybody remember the midget hooker? She used to work off of 10th street if I remember correctly...

Only place I have ever seen where you can put a set of 24's on lay-away!
