they actually talked about that on the show, and showed the clip. however, the rod didnt hit his arm, but rather the concussion from the blast severely damaged his internal organs and he died in the hospital months later. youa re talking about the guy thats in the blue/white leathers and his bike blows right before he takes off right?

Just watched a rerun of it tonight. not too bad, though i only caught the last half so i didnt have to hear "he almost died" but maybe 4-5 times 
I look forward to the car chase one (sunday at 10pm on spike) Its suck that they trash an LS1 car but hey, hes looking to be able to run from the cops, gotta have a car with decent handing and good power to do it.

I thought the show was pretty cool. The animations and 3D renderings of the bike were cool as hell, since I am a Solidworks guy.
But he gets huge PROPS for the SLAYER helmet he wore on the Pro Stock bike. That **** was sick. SLLLLAAAYYYYYEEERRRR!!!!!!

I didnt think it was to bad of an episode, I don't think they ever said he was about to die, if they did it wasnt redundant or annoying because i didnt notice. only comments that bothered me were about the car:
"When Jesse activates the nitrous he will double the output of his motor to 800 horse power" I only saw a quick peek at the motor but it looked like it was still running the factory airbox, didn't it? Lol maybe not, if the car we were hearing was the car he was actually in it sounded good.
I'll say It started as a really clean car........

lolol 800 hp i need one of those nitrous kits, and that car def. looked stock other than an exhaust and the spray. kinda sad though cause that car was really clean looking at least on tv, how much of an *** hat did he make that cop look like when he dicked him twice.lolol and then out ran them for a while with no front tires. very entertaing felt bad for the camaro though at least he made the cars look good thouh hell he lost 6 cop cars twice if that would have been real life things would have been alot different, like traffic and the helicopter thats the only reason they kept track of his ***.

the problem with that is....everybody watching who has no technical knowledge would be clueless with the terminology used.
the majority of the viewers have no idea what happens when jesse "unloades a 450 shot." I like the show so far....it's just different. I have always like all of jesse's shows...I want monster garage back, obviously. and i loved that documentary he did in Iraq building a drag hummer with the shop soldiers. that was cool.
