Chevy Equinox for the lady. Opinions
Currently she drives a 2003 stang v6 manual that I cant stand. 78k miles in decent shape. I want her in something alittle safer and newer. I dont wanna spend more than 12-14k on a car for her. I found a really clean 31k mile 06 white equinox lt for 13.9k that I can prolly haggle down to 11.9k. Its at a chevy dealership in baytown. It is certified so they will provide a full 1 year warranty with the car. Chime in if you have an opinion on this car. I know its not the best suv by far but on our budget for a car for her its in the right price range with low miles and leather. Let me know what you think guys. Also trying to do my park by helping out GM.
here is the vehicle. Pretty loaded

my personal opinion is that you WILL replace the lock cylinder if it hasnt broken yet. other then that occasional suspension issues and evap problems. If its just for her and really nothing else, it is a nice vehicle and will proly suite her well.
Im just remember all the cases from when i was a porter at a local chevy dealer.
also, i think the 3.4 has plenty of life in it. i was impressed at well it will up and go.
What year equinox? if its 07 or newer, then it has a 5yr 100,000 mile warantee form factory

for a lady, it will be a great car. but like i said, the lock cylinder will eventualy peter out. sometimes the shifter messes up too. i always liked em. now the equinox sport, wow, talk about torque and torque steer haha. i think that if she wife likes it, you want go wrong.

We have one, and it isn't bad at all. We have an '05 LS.
The seats are awful. Hopefully the leather seats in the LT are better, but the LS seats feel like they're made of concrete and they generate lots of static electricity. Seems like a silly thing to worry about, right? It's not so silly when it's fall/winter and you're afraid to touch anything metal as you get out, for fear of getting shocked.
Other than that, it has been very dependable. A couple little warranty items (third brake light fell out, a couple visor mirror covers broke), but other than that, it has been tires, brakes, oil and fuel. Hard to argue with that. The back is pretty roomy.
My wife is a band director, so we had to get her a vehicle that would be able to move instruments around. Imagine the salesman's surprise when we showed up to the test drive with a tuba!

She will like it. My wife has a 2008 sport and the back seat slides which is nice if u need more room or have a baby. Regarding the power in the sport.....crazy! I give Mustang guys all they want when the wife and I are heading to Randalls.
