Well OPEC sets the price of gasoline. Recently they said they didn't want it to get back to $150 a barrel, but they want to fix it at $70-$80 a barrell. This is not even hinging on supply and demand. They are wanting to set the price. We shall see what happens. I'm willing to bet the price setting will only work for one direction and not if demand causes it to go above their set price.

I hear Obama would like SUV and performance car owners to donate gas to the people who deserve fuel.
Sad thing is that really wouldn't surprise me with all his other hairbrained ideas

Count your blessings! At least we don't have "gas stamps" for the "poor" like the food stamps we hand out. (oops, maybe Obama reads this forum and I just gave him a new idea! )

Normally gas is the highest during summer seems like this is as high as it should get.
Also OPEC does not set gas prices they determine how many barrels of oil can be sold on the market. If you paid attention last year you would have known that demand was going down for gas while the price was going up. Look into the futures commodities market and the futures commodities modernization act of 2000. This is also a bill responsible for the Enron loophole. The stock market has a bigger determination of oil prices than anything.

Also I never understood the mentality of drying up our reserves in the U.S. Yeah lets use up all of our oil so then when we run out we are fucked. Real smart thinking.
Oh yeah I forgot cheap gas, cheap gas. Sheeple
