i don't find him arrogant at all... the only trash i've really seen him talk was before this fight with griffin... some guy at griffin's camp was running his mouth pretty bad about silva and no one else really knows who the guy is so silva was talking **** back to that guy but not about griffin... he was saying he hopes he doesn't get hurt too bad and always praises the other fighters... just because he can dance around in the ring, not get hit, and beat the **** out of people doesn't make him an arrogant *****... he does all his talking in the cage where it matters... he's probably the most humble fighter the ufc has... i don't think rampage would have a chance either... rampage was alot better in pride... he's more of a brawler and that's not the type of guy i see beating silva... it's gonna take a way more all around technical fighter to take him out... demian maia is the type of guy to watch out for... or someone like lyoto or gsp... i like dan henderson alot and was proud of his knockout on bisping but i dunno i kinda don't see him taking the belt right now either

He would dominate Rampage imo, Silva and Penn are both monsters especially since they have both seen different weight classes and performed well in all.

Penn moved up and lost to St. Pierre.

I can name quite a few who have never done that crap. Couture, Liddell, St. Pierre, Fedor, Crocop, etc. None of those guys' fights were/are lacking in the "entertainment" department. All have dominated the sport at one time or another.

I like Silva...I don't believe he's a cocky fighter...maybe confident but who wouldn't be with his track record!

I personally met him when I was in Vegas a couple years back...right before he fought Franklin for the championship...I was at the MGM eating at a restaurant and he and a couple of his friends sat down at the next table...

He could barely speak any English but was real nice...

Hendo is going to try him at 185lb?? Wow! I like Hendo too but my money would be on Silva again!

did you not see their first fight?... henderson is the only person to win a round with silva so far in the ufc... he took silva down, held him down for a bit, and landed a few good shots but it only seemed to **** anderson off... the 2nd round he took henderson's back and choked the holy hell out of him... man i wish they would do that fight here in dallas... our card blows elephant *****!... the only person i'd really care to see fight is cro cop but the cheapest tickets are $80, i think i'll just watch the vfree stream over the net lol

Paul I'll take Hendo on that fight!!

On a side note: Anyone see Miguel Torres lose his belt and get KO'd by Brian Bowles last night on WEC??? Turned out to be a really good card

Fedor and GSP have both done it... and A LOT of great boxers have done it.

That has more to do with Coke then him getting tagged in the noggin.

To a post back on page 1
Franklin is not done.
Griffin is not done.
Couture the ageless wonder may still not be done...he got beat by a mammoth named Brock. Lets see what he does against Big Nog first before you say he's "done".
Silva is not the same fighter as he was over in Japan, just like MLB players aren't hitting as many HR's this year since Steroid testing.
Even when he fought at 205 he looked much smaller then when he fought for pride. Give him a few fights at 185 to see where he matches up now.

And to another post or those calling fighters little bitches after they leave the ring. They put their heart and soul into this and train hours upon hours a day and can get very disappointed in their own selves when they believe they can do something and come up short. Anyone who can dedicate themselves to this level and training has my respect. I have enough time getting up and going to Jiu Jitsu 3 times a week when my knee/shoulders are sore etc, much less give my all and leave it on the mat.

But it's showmanship, you brought up the "fine line" between confidence and arrogance.

It's just funny how out of the 200+ people at the bar during the night of the fight thought was happened was a great fight that was extremely entertaining. But you are complaining about dominance/showmanship being arrogant.

well i didn't know about the coke but either way he should just stop... as for the other guys, they may not be done, if the ufc decides to have a reunion lol... minotauro doesn't have much longer either so the fight with couture should be fair... give silva a "few" fights at 185 huh?... hmmmm how many has he won so far in the middleweight division????

Sorry, man. I just don't like that crap. If Silva would have been fighting Rashad (a guy that does that crap all the time) and decided to give him a taste of his own medicine, then I would not have minded. However, he was fighting Forrest and for the most part, Forrest usually "stays classy" during his fights.

I like Silva. I just didn't like seeing that from him. I can see playing possum by keeping your hands down, but he was clearly running his mouth and just taunting a guy he knew he had beat.

For the record, the fight was entertaining and it was an awesome knockout (old school Liddell style).

dude, have you watched any of silva's fights????... he has done something like this in damn near every fight he has had in the ufc lol... i can really understand it in this fight because he got so much flack for his last 2 fights being boring which wasn't his fault at all in my mind

Ya, the only part that kinda bothered me was the pretending to help him up. But the hands on his side and showing off his head movement was just awesome.
