With a charge as serious as a DUI there is no option BUT to get a lawyer. To not is just judicial suicide IMHO.
Doesnt matter how old he is, the charges are still there and he will be found guilty and punished under what the law allows.

Yeah i hate when people get on here and preach. No one gives a **** about what you have to preach about...And saying he should be locked up for 5-10 years. Lolllll people these days.

Dwee 60 something year old man probably takes meds that should not be mixed with any alcohol, causing a reaction to attract police attention. You do not lose your liscence when you go to jail, you lose it when you are found guilty and it is taken from you. A lawyer is the best advice you can get.
