Default Need shop in Houston to install axle/wheel bearings.

The wheel bearings are starting to make some noise in my Moser 9", there any shops in Houston that can pull my old bearings and press on some new ones?

This is a job where the bearings are only going to cost like $100 but many places will want $1000 for the labor - at least was the case with pinion bearings in my Chevy truck. I wound up doing it myself, special tools I needed were shop press and a really high torque impact. I bought both of these at Harbor Freight for not much money (Chinese tools but they work fine). If you only need axle bearings the job is alot easier, just need a slide hammer, I just did one of these in my Camaro.

My advice is wait for the temperature to drop below 90 in your garage, do some internet reseach, then do it yourself.

Oh really, was that on your 9" before you sold it? I'm the guy who bought it from ya.... wonder if I might have a bent axle. Anyway, I found a place to remove the old bearings and press the new ones on for $20/axle.
