Ouch thats rough. Well lets see, what is the payout for winning the mile.
I also dont know about the press coverage. I guess it is possible but when we won last year we were in no less than 8 Magazines. I do however understand that it is a totally different crowd. I do want to come out and put on a show and show all you haters that we can build more than just drag cars. I will have pics soon of the aero package that we are putting together for this thing.

no one is hating...just hoping to see more variety of cars there competing.

dont forget that the winner of the event also ran a 7.9 with the same car in the 1/4 mile with a true 6 speed, (not one of those straight cut gears)

Well SpeedTV, Streetfire, the Houston Chronicle, and many other magazines have covered the TX Mile. That is also why Car & Driver, Motortrend, etc. do articles on standing mile, etc. I've never seen an issue of Motortrend or Car & Driver with full out drag cars featured. Don't consider this a dis or anything because you do build some of the baddest cars out on the street here in Houston, but if you want to expand to the level where you have cars coming in from around the world to be built it's worth getting your name in a magazine like Motortrend, Car & Driver, Dupont Registry, etc.

My point is race cars can only get you so far, and if that's all you enjoy then that is fine. I just know you do awesome work and are completely of capable of building things like this:

Which I know you will make more money on hands down...

The aero for the black TT camaro? Why can't the owner drive the car at the mile?

I think Duy shares what I am saying. You guys have a fine operation. No one is hating on LMR.

Lots more street cred come from the Mile than the drags, FWIW.

Thank you. This is my point. The difference between LMR and Lingenfelter, Heffner, and Hennessey? National magazine and TV coverage to an audience much broader (and more affluent) then that you'll find covering the LSX shootout. These companies get regular $50-100k jobs instead of the the occasional one. Become a player on a world stage and watch people with money beat down your door.

But first, you have to win (The Texas Mile)!

lol I know you guys weren't hatin. Alot of what you guys are saying is true. I do love the fact that we are being compared to companies that have been open for 10+ years more than us. However we do have SEVERAL customers from across the country attending the LSX shootout that are counting on our support at the race. We have to uphold our promises to the guys. It is also a plus that we won last year and are going to win again this year. As for the mile, we are looking for other places that host a standing mile event such as the MAXTON mile to attend. We love to travel and show the rest of the country how texas rolls. Any info would be greatly appreciated. As for the pic of the twin turbo lambo.. Why in the hell would you use silicone couplers on a 200k plus car

This does suck because I need to go to the LSX shootout as well as many of our customers are there. I hope the mile isn't always on the same weekend! I didn't even realize it was till now.

Well if the weather predictions are correct - y'all are going to have a 10mph tail wind. Not as good as the tail wind in March but, will allow 5-10mph faster speeds than normal Texas mile conditions.

See y'all there.

There will be several TT Gallardo's at the mile from what I understand. I don't think many will be participating though. The underground racing G that I saw looked amazing
