What car would you rather have???
and why you would rather have it
this 2002 z28
https://ls1tech.com/forums/vehicles-...ouston-tx.html
or this 2000 ss
https://ls1tech.com/forums/vehicles-...100-stock.html
If I can get the z28 for 14k I might sway towards the z28 because its an 02 but the owner of the ss says a 2000 ss would be worth more in the future than a 2002 z28. Let me know. Both cars looks spotless. But I like the rims and tire setup alot more on the z28. What ya think

Both cars look nice. Just going by KBB retail value is 11,300 for the SS and 13,900 for the Z28. I would choose the Z28 at those prices, unless the guy in the ss wants to come off the price, which it looks like he might. The SS looks better IMO, but there were also engine upgrades in 01 and 02, lifters, rod bolts, ls6 block, ls6 intake, and I think they also have better heads. Slightly smaller cam, but a better engine overall. NADA says 12,800 for the ss. If you are planning on modifying internals then you will upgrade engine parts anyways, and the ss is cheaper. Flip a coin.

kbb and nada are **** when looking at these cars. And like you said, if it will be modded, the few differences dont mean **** either. The SS is cheaper, looks cleaner, and has the hood and spoiler so you can focus on go fast stuff and not have to worry much about appearance mods.

the ss is listed for 14k. im partial to z28's kinda only for the name. only one car was named z28 and chevy produced a lot of ss'. i know its a stupid way to look at for anyone else but i think that overall the z28 for sale, is a much cleaner car and better deal
