In Houston
In Houston I'm up at MD Anderson for the night. My uncle went into his 5th brain surgery during last night. He has been battling stage 4 melanoma for 13 years. This is his 16th surgery. Doctors let us know that this is the final stage of his life. They took out part of his brain. He luckily remembers everyone but has trouble with speech. He has lived 12 years longer than he was suppose to when he was diagnosed with it. Hopefully he will make it through agian.

He has had treatment here for about 10 years. His doctor was out of town yesterday but the hospital called him and he made the trip home so my uncle would feel comfortable with the procedure. They really are great people.

I'll probably be at MDA next week. My dad is battling cancer and while two doctors here in SA said they wouldn't operate, MDA said they would. Wednesday he gets a bunch of tests and I will know before the weekend when they will operate. You and your uncle will be in my thoughts.

Im sorry to hear that but he's in good hands, MD anderson is one of the best places in the world, if you need to talk to somebody my mom is a nurse there her names callie suniga just ask for her she'll keep you company.
oddly enough, my mom works there as well. she works in the Proton Therapy Center, name's Cynthia Williams, she always goes out of her way to make someone happy and comfortable while there....
I'm heading out today. But will probably be back agian soon. It's exam week for me so I have to get back. One of these days when I come down I will have meet up with some people.
